Review: The Grownup by Gillian Flynn (Spoiler-Free)
Gillian Flynn does it again. Did this hit as hard as Gone Girl? No way, but I wasn't expecting it to. Flynn's writing is just as superb, I just wasn't as big a fan of the ending. It does leave room for the reader to reflect, and I find both the premise and the ending memorable, but I think it could have been executed in a more creative way (the ending) instead of so much monologue exposition.
Overall this was fun, very well-written prose-wise, and it has solidified my interest in reading Dark Places and Sharp Objects.
