Review: The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay (Spoiler-Free)
I am shocked to report that this did absolutely nothing for me. I normally love low-rated horror books that people find boring or strange but this time... I found it boring. I felt no tension or stakes and felt like I knew exactly where it was going from the first page. I saw some other reviewers saying that they felt like this would have made a better short story than novel and I fully agree. I initially picked this up because the movie was coming out (and ofc because Kayla loved it), but now I don't even know if I want to see the film lol.
I'm still interested in reading more from Tremblay, but this one wasn't for me.
