Review: Stay Awake by Megan Goldin (Spoiler-Free)

Memento without the satisfying twist ending.

Rating thrillers is always so conflicting. Because on one hand, I enjoyed reading this book all the way through. I found it engaging and fast-paced and exciting. But the ending was such a disappointment. It just fizzled away into nothing.

Had the ending been better, this definitely would have been at least a 4-star read. The writing was a little stilted at times, but the premise and alternating timelines and POVs kept me hooked.

I can see why this worked for a lot of people, but if you've seen or read movies/books with the same premise, this one doesn't deliver on it in any truly unique way.
