Review: Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuval (Spoiler-Free)

I accidentally read like 3 interview format books back to back and I'm officially tired of them.
Does that make my rating of this book a little unfair? Maybe. But also it just wasn't all that original. If this had been the first alien book/movie I'd consumed, I probably would have had my mind blown a little more. But most of the parts enjoyed in this have been done better in things like Project Hail Mary and Arrival.
That being said, the interpersonal relationships and drama in this story are juicy. There are definitely some jaw-dropping moments. It was easy to keep the pages turning and I could see this being a great read for someone in a slump.
Of course, I also have to shout out the audiobook. It features a full cast and incredible acting, screaming and all.
The cliffhanger made me want to keep reading, but now that it's been a few days I'm over it lol. Not enough time in the world to read mediocre books.
