Review: And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman (Spoiler-Free)

You were never easy, darling difficult sulky you, never diplomatic. You might even have been easy to dislike at times. But no one, absolutely no one, would dare tell me you were hard to love.

Okay, fine you've convinced me. I need to read one of Backman's full length novels. Stat.

This is the second novella I've read from Fredrik Backman and I have been absolutely floored by both. His writing is intelligent, yet endlessly emotional and breaks you down further with every word. This particular story reminded me of Iain Reid's We Spread if it was a literary fiction novella instead of a horror novel.

Beartown, I'm eyeing you up.
